We’re delighted to share that starting June 2021, we will add another 11 stores to our MyKasih Programme making it a total of 30 stores!
For the uninitiated, the MyKasih Foundation [LINK TO: http://www.mykasih.com.my/site/] is run by a non-profit organization, collaborating with the government via the TN50 –National Transformation Program that aims to help less fortunate Malaysians. Together with Dialogue Innovation Ventures (DIV), a payment platform provider, MyKasih has developed a welfare management solution using MyKad to distribute welfare aid to recipients.
MyKasih deposits an amount of RM80-100 into a B40 eligible recipient’s account which is linked with their MyKad for one year. The card will be reloaded on the 16th of every month. Any balance can be carried forward to the next month.
The recipient can spend the allowance for purchases of selected essential food items at designated retail outlets by using their MyKad with a PIN. To guard against abuse, a unique barcode scanning process at the point of sale to ensure only approved items are purchased, recipients key in their 6-digit PIN when paying with their MyKad.
On our part, we have begun collaborating with MyKasih since 2019 where the recipients can shop in our selected stores using the monies given. The existing participating stores are: Lotus’s Seri Alam, Bukit Mertajam, Jenjarom, Bukit Beruntung, Seberang Jaya, Jitra, Penang Sg Dua, Kampar, Stargate, Bandar Bukit Puchong, Ipoh Bercham, Seremban Jaya, Rawang, Selayang, Penang E-Gate, Ampang, Kepong, Cheras and Bahau.
While the additional 11 stores are: Lotus’s Wangsa Walk, Bukit Indah, Lukut, Melaka, Melaka Cheng, Manjung, Teluk Intan, Mergong, Kulim, Sungai Petani and Sungai Petani Selatan.
