CADBURY CAKE BATIK

Ingredients A (cake):

  • 400 grams McVitie’s Digestive Biscuits – roughly break
  • 250grams OREO cookies - Original – discard cream & roughly break
  • 200grams butter
  • 1 ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1 egg - grade A
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Ingredients B (ganache):

  • 200grams whipping cream
  • 2 bars (320grams) CADBURY DAIRY MILK CHOCOLATE (PLAIN)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Ingredients (decoration):

  • 1 bar (160grams) CADBURY DAIRY MILK FRUIT & NUT – roughly cut

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter. Melt until all ingredients are well blended.
  2. Add hot water, egg and vanilla essence. Stir until the mixture is glossy.
  3. Add McVitie’s Digestive Biscuits and OREO cookies little by little and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and press firmly.
  5. Refrigerate for an hour.
  6. Meanwhile, to make ganache (topping); Heat whipping cream in the microwave for 1 minute. Add CADBURY chocolates, butter and vanilla essence. Stir until all ingredients are well blended.
  7. Remove the cake from the refrigerator, discard the parchment paper. Pour the ganache and spread evenly over the cake. Decorate the cake with roughly cut CADBURY DAIRY MILK FRUIT & NUT.
