We CARE for Children
Every year Tesco choose a different charity to champion. When choosing a programme partner, Tesco select a charity that represents a cause our staff and customers care about, and that can make a difference on the ground.
This year we are delighted that University of Malaya Medical Centre will be working hand in hand with us in Helping Children with Leukaemia.
Helping Children with Leukaemia programme is our community initiative in line with our Community Promise of “We CARE for Children” and also our brand value of Because we care.

Our partnership aims to raise RM1 million in 3 years to help more children survive leukaemia and keep more families together.
The fund raised will support paediatric leukaemia patients of University of Malaya Medical Centre from familiies in the following areas of need :
- Treatment costs including Special Diagnostics Procedures for example bone marrow transplants and hospitalization
- Equipment for patients
- Special medication
