Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions, in conjunction with the privacy policy, are applicable to Tesco Biz Clubcard/ Clubcard Scheme (“the Scheme’) and any participation is considered as acceptance. If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, please contact us.
 
1. 1. The Scheme
 
1.1 The Biz Clubcard/Clubcard account, card, coupons, vouchers and points, in whatever form, are issued by and remain the property of Tesco which may, at any time, terminate the Scheme or alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Scheme.
   
1.2 Members of the Scheme must be resident of Malaysia or Singapore and aged 18 years or over.
   
1.3 Members must register their personal details/ business information and keep Tesco informed of any changes. Tesco cannot be held responsible for any loss of points or vouchers incurred as a result of out of date details.
   
1.4 The Biz Clubcard/Clubcard, in whatever form, is not transferable, cannot be copied and can only be used by the member who is named or registered for the card.
   
1.5 Member may apply supplementary cards and the points collected from the supplementary card belong to the member.
   
1.6 Biz Clubcard/ Clubcard, coupons and vouchers remain the responsibility of the member, as do any security details relating to the account. Tesco cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the member failing to ensure safe-keeping of these items.
   
1.7 Tesco may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel accounts, cards, coupons, vouchers and points, in whatever form, and/or remove a member from the Scheme at any time where there is reasonable belief of :
  • any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme
  • any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions
  • any behavior relation to the Scheme or Tesco or the Tesco Group that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behavior, or supplying false or misleading information
   
1.8 Biz Clubcard/ Clubcard can only be used for purchases from Tesco and promotional partners who are part of the Scheme.
   
1.9 Biz Clubcard/ Clubcard accounts, cards, coupons points and vouchers cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in any way traded.
   
1.10 Members can choose to leave the Scheme at any time. By leaving the Scheme, members forfeit the right to any points or vouchers already accrued or issued.
   
1.11 Members may inherit the points or vouchers of a family member who has died by providing request a written request informing is of the membership details of the deceased.
   
 
2. Points
 
2.1 Members must present their BizClubcard/ Clubcard at the checkout in order to collect points for a transaction in store.
   
2.2 Members will be required to quote their BizClubcard/ Clubcard number to collect points on purchases made through on line transaction.
   
2.3 1 Clubcard point will be awarded for every RM2 spent in single transaction.
   
2.4 Tesco is entitled to remove points at any time if products are returned for any reason and a full or partial refund of the purchase price is given. This also applies to exchange of products, unless the exchange is for products with an equivalent points value.
   
2.5 Point awarded at the time of the transaction or vouchers already issued may be removed or cancelled if Tesco determines that the points were collected in breach of these terms and conditions or were awarded in error. For the avoidance of doubt, any advice or actions of our staff that is contrary to these terms and conditions will not have the effect of changing terms and conditions.
   
2.6 Points have no value until converted into vouchers at the end of the collection period. The current conversion value of points one point equals to RM0.01 sen
   
2.7 Tesco is under no obligation to award BizClubcard/ Clubcard points for any reason outside of qualifying transactions.
   
2.8 Points will not be given for purchase of gift vouchers, tobacco, tobacco related products and other products which may be excluded from the Scheme at the discretion of Tesco.
   
 
3. Vouchers
 
3.1 Clubcard vouchers will be sent with a statement to members who have accumulated a combined total above the qualifying threshold by the end of each collection period. The current qualifying threshold is 150 points.
   
3.2 The value of Clubcard vouchers given by Tesco will be based on the number of points that a member has collected by the end of the last day of a collection period. Collection period may vary.
   
3.3 Points that cannot be converted into Clubcard vouchers because they are below the qualifying threshold or points that remain following conversion will be ‘carried forward’ as the starting balance(s) for the next collection period.
   
3.4 Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years from date of issue and are accompanied by an expiry date, beyond which they cannot be used or reissued. Vouchers that are lost or mislaid may be reissued with the original expiry date, providing they have not previously been redeemed. Additional terms and conditions may be found on the back of the vouchers.
   
 
4. General
 
4.1 The promoter of Tesco Biz Clubcard and Clubcard is Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Head Office, No.3 Jalan 7A/62A, Bandar Menjalara, 52200 Kuala Lumpur.
   
4.2 The terms and conditions replace all previous versions, are correct as of August 2012 and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes will be decided only by the Courts of Malaysia. Tesco reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time for legal, regulatory, business or policy reasons. Members who continue to participate in the Scheme following such a change will be considered to have accepted the updated terms and conditions.
