01. What is Clubcard?

Clubcard is Tesco’s loyalty scheme – our way of saying "thank you for shopping at Tesco"

02. How does Clubcard work?
|
|
|
You collect Clubcard points when you shop at Tesco and we return there into Clubcard Cash Vouchers that we will then send to you in your Clubcard statement mailing when you collect 150 points and above.
|
|
|
|
03. What do I need to sign up for Clubcard?
|
|
|
Clubcard is open to all customers. We will need to see a valid photo ID (NRIC) when you sign up. It is important that you fill in the application form clearly with the correct name and address details, so we know where to send your cash voucher and statement.

04. Where can I apply for a Clubcard?
|
|
|
You can apply for a Clubcard at any Tesco Hyper and Tesco Extra Stores ‘Customer Service Desk’.
|
|
|

05. Is Clubcard another credit card?
|
|
|
No. It is card that allows you to collect Clubcard Points when you shop at Tesco which is then converted to Cash Vouchers. It’s free to join and the more you shop, the more Points you’ll collect.

06. How old do I have to be to apply for a Clubcard?
|
|
|
Customers have to be aged 18 or over to take part in the scheme and hold a Clubcard. If you are a supplementary cardholder you must be 16 or over.
|

|
07. Can I apply for a Clubcard If I am a foreign student or an expatriate?
|
|
|
Yes. You will need to fill in the application form and provide your address in Malaysia and your passport number. We will need to see your passport as identification.
|
|
|
|
08. Where can I use my Clubcard?
|
|
|
Clubcard can be used in all Tesco Stores including Tesco Extra and Tesco Food Court.
|
|
|
|
09. How do I collect Clubcard Points?
|
|
You collect 1 Clubcard Point for every RM2 you spend in Tesco 1 Clubcard Point for every RM2 you spend in Medan Selera
2 Clubcard Point for every RM2 when you swipe your Clubcard and pay with your Tesco-RHB credit/debit card in any Tesco Stores.
1 Clubcard Point for every RM2 spend anywhere when you change to your Tesco-RHB Credit Card/Debit Card
2 Green Clubcard Points each time you re-use the Tesco Green Bags
1 Green Clubcard Point each time you re-use any bags

10. Are there any exclusions?
|
|
|
Yes. Customers cannot collect points on Tesco Gift Vouchers and products purchased from our Mall tenants.
|
|
|
|
11. How do I know when my Clubcard expires?
|
|
|
There is no expiry date for the card or on any points you have collected.
|
|
|
|
12. Is there a maximum number of Clubcard Points I can collect?
|
|
|
No, you can collect as many Clubcard Points as you like and they do not expire.
|
|
|
|
13. Do I have to pay for a Clubcard?
|
|
|
No, it is free to join Clubcard.
|
|
|
|
14. Is it worth it? What do I get?
|
|
You collect 1 point for every RM2 you spend. Eg. If you spend RM75 a week at Tesco, over 12 weeks, you total spend will be RM900. This is equivalent to 450 Clubcard Points. We’ll send you RM4.50 worth of Clubcard cash voucher in your Clubcard statement to spend in Tesco.
You don’t have to spend any more than normal. Just continue shopping and build up your Clubcard Points. In addition, you will receive product coupons to help you save even more money on your shopping.

15. How soon can I use my Clubcard?
|
|
|
Just complete the Application Form, with the relevant documentation, and you will be given a card that you can use straight away.
|

16. I filled in an application form for a Clubcard last week. Please can I have the extra card (s) on that account for my Husband/other members of my family?
|
|
|
Please visit our Customer Service Desk and they will give you an application form to fill in. Once they have verified your identity (by showing your ID Card) and checked that you have an existing Clubcard you will be given an additional card joined onto that account. As this is a joint account, the Clubcard Vouchers will be sent to you - the main card holder.

|
17. I shopped 2 days ago but my points was not added into the total points balance?
|
|
|
The points is not update yet due to offline system, thus we will upload all the points within 3 days as a late transaction.
|
|
|
|
18. Will my Clubcard Points expire?
|
|
|
No, your Clubcard Point do not expire.
|
|
|
|
19. Do I have to pay for a Clubcard?
|

20. What if I don’t collect 150 points?
|
|
|
If you do not collect enough points to qualify for Clubcard Vouchers, the points will be carried over to the next collection period, so you won’t lose them.
|

21. Where can I use my Clubcard Vouchers?
|
|
|
You can use your Clubcard Vouchers at any Tesco store including Tesco Extra.
|
|
|
|
22. When will I get my Clubcard Vouchers?
|
|
We will send out Clubcard Statement Mailings containing the Clubcard Vouchers 4 times a year (every quarter) providing you have collected 150 Clubcard Points during the collection period.
I am expecting a Clubcard Statement but I did not get one! We might not have a correct mailing address for you. Come to the Customer Service Desk and we’ll check your account.

23. How long are my Clubcard Vouchers valid for?
|
|
|
Your Clubcard Vouchers are valid for two years – the date is clearly mark on them.
|
|
|
|
24. How can I find out how many points I have collected?
|
|
|
Every 3 months any customer who has collected 150 points or more will receive a Clubcard Statement Mailing with a summary of the points collected. The staff at the Customer Service Desk will be able to inform you of your points balance. We just need your Clubcard Number. Besides you also will be able to see your total points balance printed at the bottom of your receipt.

25. How can I spend my Clubcard Vouchers?
|
|
|
Bring your Clubcard Vouchers and Clubcard with you when you come shopping at Tesco. At the end of the transaction give your Vouchers to the cashier to have the value deducted from your total bill.
|
|
|

26. What if my personal details change
|
|
(e.g. move house, change name etc)?
If you move house or change your name, please visit the Customer Service Desk to let us know. Our staff will confirm your identity (you will need to show your IC) and help you complete a profile update form. We will then amend your details on our database so all future mailing will go to your new address. If you change your address near the end of the collection period your Statement mailing might already have been issued, in which case, you need to tell us and we will make sure you get your Clubcard points next time.

27. What is the “Profile Update” box for on the application form?
|
|
|
The “Profile Update” box is used if you need to let us know about a change to your personal details. It is also to be used, to add some new supplementary cards to an existing account. If you need to update your personal details we will need to verify your identity by seeing your ID Card.

28. One of my relatives have passed away – Can I change the card to my name so that the points are not lost?
|
|
Please visit the Customer Service Desk to let us know. We will freeze the account so that no mailings go out. Please provide a copy of the death certificate and letter of administration / grant of probate so that we can move the points to another account.

29. Why do you ask for information on my household and dietary preferences?
|
|
|
This information is optional and will be used to make sure we send you the most relevant coupons and information. For example: If you have ticked “Tidak Minum Arak” or Tee total in the application form, we will not send you offers for alcohol products.

30.I don’t want to get any mail from Tesco. How can I stop you contacting me?
|
|
|
We have to mail to you to send you your Clubcard Vouchers. If you don’t wish to receive any other mailings or contact from Tesco, please let us know and we will make this clear on your records.
|
|
|
|
31. Will you share my information with other companies?
|
|
|
We assure you that your personal details are safe with us and we will never be released to companies outside Tesco Group. We will restrict the sharing of your information to Tesco Malaysia and its partners, Tesco Group and businesses that process Clubcard information on our behalf only for our marketing purposes.

32. Can I use a Clubcard from a different country such as UK in Tesco Malaysia?
|
|
|
We are not able to accept a Clubcard from one of our other international business. However if you are resident in Malaysia you are eligible to join Clubcard here. All we need is your passport number and address details.
|

33. Can a staff member collect my Clubcard Points if I do not have a Clubcard?
|
|
|
No, Clubcard Points can only be collected by the person doing the transaction. Staff member can have a Clubcard but are not allowed to collect points from transactions other than they make for themselves. Staff will be liable for disciplinary action.

|
34. If I return a product to store for a refund are my Clubcard Points deducted?
|
|
|
For any refunds under RM200 Clubcard Points are not deducted. If a refund totals RM200 or more your Clubcard Points will be deducted.
|

35. How do I cancel my Clubcard?
|
|
Please visit the Customer Service Desk and they can cancel your account.
(Customer Service Desk: You need to capture the customer details such as name, NRIC, Clubcard number. You also need to email these details to Support Office and Clubcard Admin with an explanation)

36. Can I sign up for Biz Clubcard in Tesco Hyper?
|
|
|
No. if you want to have a Biz Clubcard you need to go to your local Tesco Extra and fill in an application from there. You will need to take a copy of your business registration document. We accept Form 9, Form 49, Form D, Hawker License or Health Registration Document.

37. Can I use my Biz Clubcard in Tesco Hyper?
|
|
|
You can use your Biz Clubcard to collect Clubcard Points in Tesco Hyper but you can only benefit from the Biz Clubcard services, such as sales invoice printing, Biz Development team etc in Tesco Extra.

|
|
|
38. What is the different between Biz Clubcard and Clubcard?
|
|
With both cards you collect Clubcard points for shopping at Tesco Extra. The Biz Clubcard is also the passport to some helpful extra services we provide for our business customers:

Low Counters for Bulk trolleys
Sales Invoice Printing at Checkout (upon request)
Customer Loading Area
Promotional Mailers mailed to your business

39. Can Singaporean customer apply for the Clubcard and received the Clubcard Statement?
|
|
|
Yes. We only mail reward customer with 150 points and above directly to their mailing address in Singapore.
|
|

40. Can the customers claim for the manual transactions after they sign up for Clubcard
|
|
|
No. Customer must sign up for Clubcard first before they start shopping. If they shop and then apply for Clubcard, there will be no manual additional of points.
|
|

41. What do I need to sign up to Biz Clubcard?
|
|
|
Biz Clubcard is only open to small business. We will need a photocopy of your business license when you sign-up (Form 9 and 49, Form D, Hawker License from local authorities or Health Dept, Registration form). It is important that you fill in the application form clearly with the correct name and address details, so we know where to send your money-off Clubcard Vouchers.
